En 2012, lors d’un entretien à coeur ouvert avec le magazine Jeune Afrique, l’ancien président béninois YAYI BONI a fait une série de déclarations audacieuses concernant son avenir politique. Cependant, les années qui ont suivi semblent contredire ces promesses, suscitant des interrogations quant à la crédibilité du leader politique.
Des déclarations fortes
Lors de l’interview de 2012, Dr YAYI BONI avait non seulement assuré à ses pairs africains, mais aussi à des dirigeants mondiaux tels que Barack Obama, Nicolas Sarkozy et François Hollande, et même au pape, qu’il n’envisageait pas de se représenter en 2016. Sa déclaration selon laquelle “dix ans à la tête du Bénin, ce ne sont pas des vacances” avait particulièrement marqué les esprits, évoquant un homme conscient de la gravité de la tâche présidentielle et des sacrifices qu’elle implique.

Cependant, les événements récent illustrent une histoire différente. Bien qu’il ait quitté la présidence en 2016, YAYI BONI est loin d’être resté en marge de la vie politique béninoise. Au cœur de nombreuses controverses, notamment celles liées aux troubles électoraux, il s’est également hissé à la présidence du parti politique “Les Démocrates”.

L’attitude de YAYI BONI soulève des questions fondamentales sur la confiance et l’intégrité en politique. Comment les citoyens peuvent-ils avoir foi en leur leadership quand les promesses d’hier sont balayées par les actions d’aujourd’hui? Cette dichotomie entre les paroles et les actes peut potentiellement éroder la confiance du public envers les leaders politiques et le système démocratique lui-même.
Alors que le Bénin continue d’évoluer dans un contexte politique complexe, il est essentiel que les leaders politiques fassent preuve d’intégrité et respectent leurs engagements. La confiance du public est un bien précieux, et une fois perdue, elle est difficile à regagner.
Dites-moi où c’est dit que YAYI a promis ne plus faire du tout politique.Je ne vois pas où est le problème quand quelqu’un dit je ne vais plus rempiler et je me consacrerai à servir Dieu.Cela ne veut pas dire qu’il se retire définitivement de la vie politique.Vpus n’avez jamais vu des hommes de Dieu faire politique ?et d’ailleurs que Dites vous de la promesse de son successeur qui dit vertement ne vouloir faire qu’un mandat unique et en a fait une conviction mais par la suite à trahi cette dernière ?Ne trouvez pas toujours à dire parcque c’est votre rôle.Parfois,il faut observer sans forcément émettre une opinion.
