🚰💧 Mise à jour du projet de système d’épuration à Ganvié : Nécessité d’études complémentaires
Dans la petite commune lacustre de Ganvié au Bénin, un projet crucial de système d’épuration des eaux usées domestiques est actuellement sous réévaluation. Après une première étude de faisabilité, il s’est avéré nécessaire d’approfondir l’analyse pour adresser plusieurs problématiques et insuffisances découvertes lors de l’examen du dossier d’avant-projet détaillé réalisé par la société prestataire.
Le projet initial visait la création d’une station d’épuration capable de gérer les eaux usées pour l’équivalent de 75,000 habitants d’ici 2038, alors que la population actuelle de Ganvié est estimée à environ 40,000 personnes. Cette anticipation de croissance démographique souligne l’importance d’une infrastructure capable de s’adapter aux besoins futurs. Cependant, plusieurs éléments cruciaux n’avaient pas été pris en compte :
Absence de raccordement et de collecte : Aucune disposition n’avait été prévue pour le raccordement des habitations à la station, ce qui aurait rendu le système inopérant dès son inauguration.
Dimensionnement précoce : Le dimensionnement pour un nombre d’habitants bien supérieur à la population actuelle pose question quant à l’efficacité et l’économie du projet à court terme.
Valorisation du biogaz : La cogénération de biogaz, envisagée comme partie intégrante du système, ne serait viable qu’avec un nombre suffisant de raccordements.
Gestion des boues : L’option de valoriser les boues de déshydratation en compost pour l’agriculture est envisagée mais n’a pas été étudiée en détail.
Recommandations pour l’Avancement
Au vu de ces constats, une étude complémentaire a été recommandée pour intégrer tous les aspects de raccordement, de collecte et de traitement des eaux usées. Cette étude devra également définir un cahier des charges pour l’exploitation et l’entretien du système sur au moins cinq ans, garantissant ainsi sa durabilité et son efficacité.
Implications et Suivi
Le Conseil des ministres a donné son accord pour cette mission complémentaire et a instruit les ministères concernés de veiller à son bon déroulement. L’objectif est de s’assurer que le projet, une fois réalisé, puisse effectivement améliorer la qualité de vie à Ganvié, en traitant efficacement les eaux usées et en contribuant à la protection de l’environnement aquatique unique de cette communauté lacustre.
Ce projet d’épuration des eaux à Ganvié est un exemple frappant de la complexité des infrastructures environnementales et de la nécessité d’une planification minutieuse. En tenant compte des recommandations des études préliminaires et en adaptant le projet aux réalités locales, Ganvié peut espérer un système de gestion des eaux usées qui répond non seulement aux besoins actuels mais aussi aux défis futurs.
