Cette décision ouvre grandement la voie à Donald Trump, faisant de Nikki Haley la dernière concurrente sérieuse face à l’ancien président dans cette lutte pour la nomination.

DeSantis, longtemps perçu comme le principal rival de Trump, laisse un écart considérable de 30 points entre lui et l’ex-président, révélé lors des caucus de l’OA. Cette différence majeure reflète la fidélité persistante de l’électorat républicain envers Trump, malgré son profil clivant et sa présence au cœur de multiples scandales et poursuites judiciaires.
