À quelques semaines du lancement officiel de la session 2025 du Brevet d’Études du Premier Cycle (BEPC), la ministre des Enseignements Secondaire, Technique et de la Formation Professionnelle, Véronique Tognifodé, a effectué, le jeudi 8 mai, une tournée d’inspection et de motivation au Lycée Toffa 1er de Porto-Novo ainsi qu’à la Direction des Examens et Concours (DEC).
Cette visite, à forte portée pédagogique, visait à booster le moral des apprenantes et à faire le point sur l’état d’avancement des préparatifs de l’examen qui réunira 139 000 candidats, soit une hausse de 4 % par rapport à 2024. À Toffa 1er, la ministre a tenu un discours franc et motivant, insistant sur l’importance de l’autodiscipline et du travail personnel. « Votre destin vous appartient. L’excellence dont on parle, c’est le travail et la discipline », a-t-elle martelé.
Face à des constats de retards en classe, de cahiers non à jour et d’absentéisme, la ministre a exhorté les élèves à un sursaut de rigueur : « Il faut qu’on ait de bons résultats. Celles qui n’étaient pas disciplinées doivent se remettre au pas ». Un appel fort, dans un contexte où les performances scolaires deviennent un indicateur clé de l’efficacité des politiques éducatives.
S’en est suivie une séance de travail avec les enseignants et le personnel administratif, au cours de laquelle les préoccupations et besoins spécifiques ont été écoutés sans filtre. Le ministre a aussi visité les dortoirs et le réfectoire des pensionnaires, témoignant d’un souci d’amélioration des conditions de vie scolaire.
À la DEC, Armand Natta, Directeur des Examens et Concours, a rassuré la délégation sur l’organisation du BEPC. Trois examens ont déjà été organisés avec succès, et le niveau de préparation pour le BEPC est actuellement estimé à 50 %. Le reste sera finalisé dans les délais impartis, a-t-il confirmé.
Cette visite s’inscrit dans une stratégie globale du ministère visant à renforcer la qualité de l’éducation secondaire au Bénin. Elle met en lumière une volonté politique claire : garantir un environnement favorable à la réussite des élèves.
