Par décret n°2023-268 en date du 24 mai 2023, le président Patrice Talon a annoncé une nouvelle série de nominations pour l’Agence de réhabilitation de la Cité historique d’Abomey. Au sommet de cette liste figure Constant Godjo, représentant du Ministère du Cadre de Vie et des Transports, en charge du développement durable, qui a été nommé à la tête du Conseil d’administration.
Le décret présidentiel comprend également les nominations de six autres membres du conseil d’administration de l’agence. Monsieur Ami Dengue, représentant de la Présidence de la République; Monsieur Philippe Gantin, représentant du Ministère du Développement et de la Coopération Internationale; Monsieur Edouard Soglo, représentant du Ministère de l’Économie et des Finances; Monsieur Oscar Atingla, représentant du Ministère du Cadre de Vie et des Transports, en charge du Développement Durable; Monsieur Paul Akogni, représentant du Ministère du Tourisme, de la Culture et des Arts; et Monsieur Julien Ouankpo, représentant de la Préfecture du département Zou.
Ces nominations interviennent dans le cadre d’une initiative visant à revitaliser la Cité historique d’Abomey, qui est un site du patrimoine mondial de l’UNESCO. Les membres nommés du conseil d’administration sont chargés de superviser ce processus de revitalisation. Leur mandat durera trois ans et sera renouvelable. Le Ministère du Cadre de Vie et des Transports, en charge du Développement Durable, ainsi que le Ministère de l’Économie et des Finances, sont chargés de veiller à l’application du présent décret. Cette nomination représente une étape importante pour l’Agence de réhabilitation de la Cité historique d’Abomey et ses efforts pour revitaliser ce site historique important.
