🇳🇬⚔️ Nigeria : Mobilisation Citoyenne et Offensive Militaire Contre le Terrorisme en 2024
Dans un contexte de sécurité nationale de plus en plus préoccupant, le Nigeria intensifie sa lutte contre le terrorisme en 2024. Lors d’une conférence de presse à Abuja, le général de division Édouard Boba, directeur des opérations médiatiques du ministère de la Défense, a mis l’accent sur l’importance cruciale de la sensibilisation et de la participation des citoyens à la sécurité nationale.
Le général Boba a appelé la population à résister activement aux terroristes et à signaler toute activité suspecte aux forces de sécurité. Il a souligné que l’armée agirait sur la base d’informations crédibles fournies par les citoyens, reflétant ainsi un changement significatif dans la stratégie antiterroriste du pays. L’objectif déclaré pour 2024 est de localiser et d’éliminer les terroristes, privant ces derniers de leur capacité à terroriser les citoyens à travers le Nigeria.
Cette nouvelle stratégie fait suite à des succès militaires récents, notamment la neutralisation du chef de l’organisation terroriste ISWAP (Province de l’État islamique en Afrique de l’Ouest) dans l’état de Borno, dans le nord-est du pays. ISWAP, connu pour être la branche ouest-africaine de DAESH, représente une menace majeure pour la sécurité et la stabilité de la région.
Le gouvernement nigérian, en adoptant cette approche intégrée impliquant la participation des citoyens, marque un tournant décisif dans sa politique de lutte contre le terrorisme. Cette initiative vise non seulement à renforcer les opérations militaires, mais aussi à encourager une collaboration plus étroite entre les citoyens et les forces de sécurité.
En encourageant la population à participer activement à la surveillance et au signalement des activités suspectes, le Nigeria espère créer un front uni contre le terrorisme. Cette approche reconnaît que la sécurité nationale n’est pas seulement la responsabilité des forces armées, mais aussi celle de chaque citoyen.
La lutte contre le terrorisme au Nigeria est complexe, impliquant des défis à la fois militaires et civils. Avec cette nouvelle stratégie, le gouvernement espère assurer une défaite durable des terroristes et améliorer la sécurité dans tout le pays.
