La Syrie se trouve à un tournant historique. Alors que le pays demeure marqué par plus d’une décennie de conflit, les rebelles syriens, réunis sous la bannière du groupe HTS (Hayat Tahrir al-Sham), préparent une transition politique. Cette évolution, symbolisée par le chef du groupe, Abou Mohamad al-Jolani, qui se présente désormais aux côtés d’anciens membres du gouvernement syrien, pourrait redéfinir l’avenir politique du pays.

Une nouvelle dynamique politique à Idleb

Idleb, bastion des rebelles, est devenu le centre de gravité des discussions sur l’après-Assad. Malgré ses ressources limitées, cette région a vu émerger une administration structurée. Mohamad El Bir, actuel chef du gouvernement autoproclamé, est pressenti pour diriger la transition comme Premier ministre. Sa mission ? Former un gouvernement crédible et surtout rassurer les diverses communautés syriennes, notamment les minorités religieuses et ethniques, comme les Kurdes.

Une stratégie de légitimation

Abou Mohamad al-Jolani, anciennement connu comme un chef de guerre redoutable, cherche à changer son image pour gagner en respectabilité. Lors d’une apparition récente, il a été vu aux côtés de Mohamad al-Jalali, ex-Premier ministre du régime syrien, qui se dit prêt à coopérer à une transition pacifique. Al-Jolani a même renoncé à son pseudonyme de combattant, préférant désormais être appelé par son nom civil, Ahed Char, en signe d’une nouvelle approche politique.

Des espoirs et des défis

Si cette transition politique représente une opportunité pour stabiliser la Syrie, elle est également entourée de graves incertitudes. L’histoire récente montre que les périodes de transition peuvent rapidement dégénérer en violence. La communauté internationale, tout comme les minorités syriennes, surveille de près ces développements. Les rebelles devront prouver qu’ils peuvent gouverner sans reproduire les schémas de persécution ou de marginalisation.

Une étape sous le regard du monde

Le succès ou l’échec de cette tentative de transfert de pouvoir aura des répercussions profondes, non seulement pour la Syrie, mais aussi pour l’ensemble de la région. La capacité des rebelles à rassurer les communautés et à établir un gouvernement stable sera déterminante pour leur légitimité aux yeux du peuple syrien et de la communauté internationale.

La transition politique en Syrie, orchestrée par les rebelles, pourrait marquer un nouveau chapitre pour ce pays en crise. Cependant, entre les promesses de stabilité et les risques de conflits, le chemin à parcourir reste incertain. L’avenir de la Syrie dépendra de la capacité des acteurs en place à concilier leurs ambitions politiques avec les aspirations des Syriens à une paix durable.
