🌍📉 FMI : Perspectives d’un “Atterrissage en Douceur” pour l’Économie Mondiale en 2024

Le Fonds Monétaire International (FMI) a récemment partagé des perspectives optimistes pour l’économie mondiale en 2024, s’attendant à un “atterrissage en douceur” malgré les défis persistants. Après avoir prédit une croissance de 3% pour 2024 en octobre, le FMI a régulièrement révisé cette prévision à la hausse, témoignant de la résilience remarquable de l’activité économique mondiale jusqu’à présent.

Malgré un environnement économique mondial marqué par des incertitudes et des défis significatifs, l’économie mondiale a démontré une robustesse surprenante. Le FMI souligne que cette tendance positive devrait se poursuivre en 2024, avec une diminution de l’inflation et une résilience continue des marchés du travail. Cependant, il convient de noter que la croissance prévue, bien qu’encourageante, reste inférieure au taux de croissance moyen mondial antérieur de 3,8%. Cela indique qu’il reste encore beaucoup à faire pour stimuler la croissance mondiale, en particulier à moyen terme.

Le FMI a également abordé la nécessité de se préparer aux chocs et défis futurs, soulignant l’importance de politiques économiques et de réformes adaptées. Dans ce contexte, les responsables égyptiens ont rencontré des représentants du FMI pour discuter des réformes économiques, notamment dans le cadre du conflit actuel à Gaza. L’Égypte, ayant conclu un accord avec le FMI pour un mécanisme élargi de crédit, continue de travailler étroitement avec le fonds pour soutenir l’achèvement des revues de cet accord.

Ces discussions sont cruciales pour assurer la mise en œuvre effective des priorités politiques et économiques de l’Égypte. La collaboration étroite entre le FMI et les autorités égyptiennes a facilité des progrès significatifs dans les discussions, et on s’attend à ce que ces échanges se poursuivent pour renforcer l’économie égyptienne.

En fin de compte, une actualisation des prévisions de croissance mondiale sera dévoilée en Afrique du Sud à la fin du mois, offrant une perspective plus claire sur l’état de l’économie mondiale et les attentes pour l’année à venir.
