🚢🤝 “Tensions autour de la situation des conteneurs à destination du Niger : Le Port de Cotonou inquiet 🇧🇯🇳🇪

Dans le sillage des récents bouleversements politiques au Niger et des sanctions découlant de la CEDEAO, une situation tendue est apparue autour des conteneurs à destination de Niamey, immobilisés au Port Autonome de Cotonou (PAC).

Le 20 août 2023, à la suite du coup d’État survenu à Niamey, la CEDEAO a imposé des sanctions au Niger, affectant ainsi les flux de marchandises en direction de ce pays enclavé. Plusieurs conteneurs, se dirigeant vers le Niger, se trouvent actuellement bloqués dans l’enceinte du PAC.

Face à cette situation délicate, des pourparlers sont prévus entre les responsables du PAC et leurs homologues nigériens. Le président du PAC a, en effet, invité toutes les parties concernées à une séance d’échanges le mardi 22 août 2023 à 10h00 dans la salle de conférences du port. Cette rencontre vise à trouver une solution efficace et rapide pour désengorger le port et assurer la fluidité des échanges commerciaux, malgré les contraintes politiques actuelles.

L’importance de cette rencontre ne peut être sous-estimée. Le Niger, étant un pays enclavé, dépend en grande partie du Port Autonome de Cotonou pour ses importations et exportations. Tout blocage ou retard dans la chaîne logistique peut avoir des répercussions majeures sur l’économie nigérienne. Le monde des affaires et les observateurs régionaux suivront de près cette rencontre, espérant que les discussions déboucheront sur une solution mutuellement bénéfique qui sauvegarde les intérêts économiques tout en respectant les directives politiques.
