“Supposé coup d’État : Que reproche-t-on vraiment à Olivier Boko ? Ses avocats démystifient l’affaire”
Dans l’affaire très médiatisée d’atteinte à la sûreté de l’État au Bénin, les avocats d’Olivier Boko, l’un des principaux accusés, ont insisté sur l’absence de tout lien concret entre leur client et les faits reprochés. Accusé de complot, blanchiment de capitaux et corruption, Olivier Boko se retrouve au cœur d’une procédure judiciaire complexe. Cependant, selon la défense, les éléments du dossier ne démontrent aucune implication directe de sa part dans cette affaire.
Une accusation sans preuves matérielles
Lors de l’audience du 1 Octobre, les avocats d’Olivier Boko ont fermement contesté les accusations portées contre leur client. Ils ont souligné que le dossier présenté par le procureur ne contenait aucun fait matériel ou preuve tangible établissant un lien entre Olivier Boko et les prétendus crimes, notamment une tentative d’atteinte à la sûreté de l’État. « La justice pénale ne se fonde pas sur des suppositions ou des présomptions. Il faut des faits concrets, et en l’occurrence, il n’en existe pas dans le cas de Monsieur Boko », a déclaré l’un de ses avocats.
Selon les informations recueillies dans le dossier, même le colonel considéré comme le principal orchestrateur de l’affaire a affirmé n’avoir eu aucune discussion avec Olivier Boko concernant des plans ou complots contre l’État. Cette déclaration affaiblit considérablement les accusations de complot, faisant douter de la solidité des charges retenues contre lui.
Une procédure encore à ses débuts
Bien que trois des cinq accusés aient été placés sous mandat de dépôt, dont Olivier Boko, les avocats insistent sur le fait que la procédure n’en est qu’à ses débuts. L’affaire est encore en phase d’instruction, et le juge chargé de l’enquête continue de rassembler des éléments avant de statuer sur le fond du dossier. Selon la défense, il est encore tôt pour tirer des conclusions définitives sur l’implication ou non de leur client.
Le collectif d’avocats d’Olivier Boko continue de plaider pour une révision des mesures de détention provisoire. Ils estiment que, compte tenu de la vacuité des preuves dans ce dossier, leur client pourrait bénéficier d’un contrôle judiciaire plutôt que d’une détention en maison d’arrêt.
