Réaction de l’Assemblée Nationale sur la révision constitutionnelle ️après les propos de Louis Vlavonou

Le Président de l’Assemblée nationale, Louis Gbèhounou VLAVONOU, a tenu des propos controversés lors d’une rencontre d’échanges avec les Présidents des institutions de la République le 22 décembre 2023. Il a évoqué la possibilité de créer une assemblée constituante pour réviser la Constitution. Ces propos ont été interprétés par certains comme une initiative visant à permettre à Patrice Talon de briguer un troisième mandat.

Dans un communiqué publié le 3 janvier 2024, le Chef de la Cellule de communication de l’Assemblée nationale, porte-parole du Président VLAVONOU, a apporté des clarifications sur ces propos. Il a rappelé que le Président de l’Assemblée nationale a déjà exprimé ses réflexions sur la nécessité de corriger les insuffisances spécifiques à chaque institution et d’envisager une refonte profonde du système politique du Bénin. Ces réflexions s’inscrivent dans la droite ligne de son discours d’investiture prononcé le 13 avril 2023.

Le communiqué précise que le Président VLAVONOU a évoqué la possibilité de créer une assemblée constituante dans le contexte d’une discussion non conventionnelle et non dans le but de faire porter par les Présidents d’institution un projet de révision constitutionnelle. Il a utilisé le terme “digression” pour marquer une distinction claire entre cette idée et le cadre de concertation des Présidents d’institution.

Ces  clarifications apportées par le Chef de la Cellule de communication de l’Assemblée nationale tendent à montrer que les propos du Président VLAVONOU ont été mal interprétés. Il semblerait qu’il ait simplement évoqué la possibilité de réviser la Constitution, mais sans pour autant proposer une initiative concrète à ce sujet.

Il est important de noter que le Président VLAVONOU est un homme politique expérimenté et respectueux des institutions. Il est peu probable qu’il se prête à une manœuvre visant à permettre à Patrice Talon de briguer un troisième mandat.

La polémique autour des propos du Président VLAVONOU est en partie due à une diffusion sélective de ses déclarations. Il est important de prendre en compte le contexte de ses propos pour éviter toute interprétation erronée.

  1. C’est dommage que de pareil propos soit prononcé par PAN. Il est au coeur de la révision précédente et constate en si peu de temps qu’ils ont tripatouillé les textes. En quoi cette constitution empêche la réalisation de leur PAG. C’est normal que le porte parole du PAN dise quelque chose pour justifier son salaire. Chers jeunes sortez de ces rôles.
