Patrice Talon et Oswald Homeky : L’histoire d’une promesse de destruction devenue réalité
Un an après son départ fracassant du gouvernement béninois, l’ancien ministre de la Jeunesse et des Sports, Oswald Homeky, se retrouve aujourd’hui au cœur d’une affaire aux allures de règlement de comptes. Accusé d’atteinte à la sûreté de l’État, il fait face à des accusations graves qui pourraient lui valoir jusqu’à 20 ans de prison. Mais cette situation dramatique semble trouver ses racines dans une déclaration lourde de conséquences faite par le président Patrice Talon, un an plus tôt : “Je vais te détruire.”
Retour sur un limogeage inattendu
L’épisode qui a marqué le début de la chute d’Oswald Homeky remonte à plusieurs mois. À l’époque, la démission de ce ministre influent avait suscité de nombreuses interrogations, bien que la presse officielle n’ait pas véritablement dévoilé ce qui se cachait derrière cet événement. Cependant, selon des sources proches du pouvoir, les dessous de ce départ révèlent une scène tendue, où le président Talon aurait ouvertement menacé son ministre devant ses collègues du gouvernement.
Lors d’un conseil des ministres particulièrement agité, Patrice Talon aurait invectivé Homeky pendant près de trente minutes, ponctuant son discours de reproches, de menaces à peine voilées, avant de lâcher la phrase qui résonne encore aujourd’hui : “Je vais te détruire.” Ce moment a scellé le sort d’Oswald Homeky, qui ne pouvait plus prétendre à un avenir au sein du gouvernement.
La déclaration fatale de soutien à Olivier Boko
Quelques jours avant cet incident, Oswald Homeky avait publiquement déclaré qu’Olivier Boko, ancien bras droit de Patrice Talon, était le mieux préparé pour assurer la fonction présidentielle en 2026. Cette prise de position, qui rompait avec la ligne officielle, a été perçue comme un acte de défiance vis-à-vis du président. Homeky, alors en disgrâce, a rapidement été écarté du gouvernement, marquant le début de sa chute.
Cette déclaration a non seulement coûté son poste à Homeky, mais elle a aussi entraîné d’autres soutiens à Olivier Boko dans sa chute. Peu de temps après, Sévérin Quenum, ministre de la Justice, a également quitté ses fonctions après avoir manifesté son soutien à Boko. Cette situation a clairement démontré que tout soutien public à un rival potentiel du président Talon serait sanctionné.
Accusations montées de toutes pièces ?
Aujourd’hui, Oswald Homeky fait face à des accusations qui pourraient le détruire sur le plan personnel et politique. Il est accusé d’atteinte à la sûreté de l’État, avec une somme d’un milliard cinq cent millions de francs CFA qui aurait été retrouvée dans le cadre de l’enquête. Ces accusations, pourtant, sont perçues par de nombreux observateurs comme un dossier monté de toutes pièces pour achever la promesse faite par Patrice Talon. Un avertissement pour tous les soutiens d’Olivier Boko
L’arrestation d’Oswald Homeky résonne comme un avertissement pour tous ceux qui, au sein du paysage politique béninois, oseraient soutenir ouvertement Olivier Boko. La répression des soutiens à Boko démontre une stratégie claire visant à écarter tout concurrent sérieux en vue de 2026.
