Les engagements de Ange Paterne Amoussouga
Le nouveau secrétaire exécutif de la mairie de Cotonou, Ange Paterne Amoussouga, a été officiellement installé dans ses nouvelles fonctions lors d’une cérémonie présidée par le préfet du Littoral. Il remplace l’ancien secrétaire exécutif limogé. Dans son discours d’installation, Ange Paterne Amoussouga a appelé à la mobilisation de tous les agents pour relever les défis de développement de la ville.
Le nouveau secrétaire exécutif de la mairie de Cotonou, a pris officiellement ses fonctions lors d’une cérémonie organisée en présence des autorités administratives, des élus locaux et des agents de la mairie. “Cher membre du personnel administratif et technique de la ville de Cotonou, j’ai autant besoin de vous que vous avez besoin de moi. Ensemble, nous relèverons les défis immenses que nous impose le développement de notre capitale économique. Il est donc clair que ma priorité sera de participer et de contribuer au côté du maire et ses adjoints au règlement des multiples problèmes de Cotonou. Mon intervention sera guidée par la logique de la gestion axée sur les résultats”, a déclaré le nouveau Secrétaire Exécutif.
Le nouveau secrétaire exécutif a également rappelé l’importance de la mobilisation des ressources pour atteindre les ambitions de développement de la ville. “Nous avons consacré beaucoup d’efforts à améliorer nos performances en matière de mobilisation des ressources depuis ces dernières années. Je voudrais maintenant vous inviter à poursuivre ces efforts pour maintenir cette dynamique. Si nous voulons vraiment disposer de moyens à la hauteur de nos ambitions, je me dois de vous rappeler qu’en vertu des dispositions des articles 101 et suivants du Code suscité, le maire demeure la première autorité politique administrative de la commune au titre des dispositions des articles 140 et suivants. Le maire entretient avec le secrétaire exécutif des relations hiérarchiques et des relations fonctionnelles”, a t-il ajouté.
Avant d’atterrir à la mairie de Cotonou, Ange Paterne Amoussouga a occupé plusieurs fonctions dans différents ministères, notamment celui de la décentralisation. Sa nomination à la tête de la mairie de Cotonou intervient dans un contexte marqué par la nécessité de renforcer la gestion de la ville, notamment dans les domaines de la collecte des déchets, de la voirie et de l’urbanisme. En effet, la ville de Cotonou fait face à de nombreux défis liés à sa croissance rapide, tels que la pollution, le manque d’infrastructures de base et la gestion des déchets
