Le Groupe industriel panafricain Eranove, reconnu pour sa gestion de services publics et sa production d’électricité et d’eau potable en Afrique, vient de franchir une étape décisive dans son expansion sur le continent africain. En effet, ce géant industriel a récemment signé un partenariat stratégique avec le Gouvernement de la République du Bénin pour la gestion déléguée de la Société Béninoise d’Énergie Électrique (SBEE). Ce partenariat, d’une durée initiale de 26 mois, vise à révolutionner le service public d’électricité au Bénin et à contribuer au développement durable du pays.
Le Bénin, avec une population d’environ 13 millions d’habitants, dont seulement 42% avaient un accès stable et fiable à l’électricité en 2021, se trouve à un carrefour critique de son développement énergétique. La collaboration avec Eranove s’inscrit dans un effort concerté pour améliorer les performances opérationnelles de la SBEE, soutenir l’industrialisation et favoriser le développement socioéconomique du pays.
Marc Albérola, Directeur Général du Groupe Industriel Eranove, a souligné l’importance de cette collaboration, affirmant que la SBEE sera un catalyseur d’opportunités économiques et de progrès social pour les populations béninoises. La démarche du groupe repose sur la mobilisation de compétences et d’expertises africaines éprouvées, en accord avec les spécificités et les défis du continent.
L’accord prévoit la mobilisation d’une équipe de sept experts internationaux et la mise en place d’un dispositif spécifique d’appui pour apporter des solutions techniques, commerciales, financières et logistiques. Une attention particulière sera accordée au transfert durable de compétences et à l’application des normes internationales.
Ce partenariat renforce la position d’Eranove en tant que partenaire clé dans le soutien au développement durable en Afrique. Le groupe est déjà engagé au Bénin à travers sa filiale Omilayé, dédiée à l’approvisionnement de l’eau en milieu rural, et opère dans plusieurs pays africains, notamment en Côte d’Ivoire, où il gère la production et la distribution d’électricité via la Compagnie Ivoirienne d’Electricité (CIE) et la Compagnie Ivoirienne de Production d’Electricité (CIPREL).
La collaboration avec le Bénin s’inscrit dans une démarche de collaboration inclusive d’Eranove, qui vise à être aux avant-postes des enjeux de développement du continent. Elle marque un pas significatif vers la réalisation de l’objectif de développement durable (ODD) numéro 7, visant à garantir l’accès de tous à des services énergétiques fiables, durables et modernes.
En conclusion, ce partenariat entre Eranove et le Bénin illustre l’importance des collaborations public-privé dans l’amélioration des infrastructures et des services essentiels en Afrique. Il montre également comment l’investissement stratégique et le transfert de compétences peuvent transformer de manière significative l’accès et la qualité des services énergétiques, ouvrant ainsi la voie à un avenir plus durable et prospère pour le continent africain.
