La Chine dévoile un important plan de relance pour soutenir son économie

La Chine a annoncé un vaste plan de relance, le plus ambitieux depuis la pandémie de Covid-19, visant à stimuler son économie en difficulté. Le gouverneur de la Banque centrale chinoise a révélé que l’une des principales mesures est la réduction du taux de réserve obligatoire, permettant aux banques commerciales de prêter davantage. Ce taux sera abaissé de 0,5 point de pourcentage, libérant environ 1000 milliards de yuans (128 milliards d’euros) pour relancer l’économie.

Cette décision intervient alors que le pays fait face à un taux de chômage des jeunes alarmant, atteignant 17 % pour les 16-24 ans. L’objectif du gouvernement est d’atteindre 5 % de croissance en 2024, mais avec une reprise économique plus lente que prévu, plafonnant à 4,7 %, des mesures supplémentaires étaient nécessaires.

En parallèle, la Banque centrale a annoncé une baisse des taux d’intérêt, rendant les emprunts plus accessibles, notamment dans le secteur immobilier, qui traverse une profonde crise depuis 2021. Cette décision vise à stimuler la consommation en allégeant les conditions d’accès à la propriété pour des millions de foyers. Les analystes restent toutefois partagés sur l’efficacité de ce plan pour restaurer la confiance et dynamiser le marché.

Ce plan a été bien accueilli par les marchés boursiers, en particulier à Hong Kong et Shanghai, avec des hausses significatives. En Europe, des entreprises du secteur du luxe, telles que LVMH, L’Oréal et Kering, ont également vu leurs actions rebondir, les consommateurs chinois étant des acteurs clés dans ce marché.
