Hosée Houngnibo à la CRIET : Une simple formalité avant la prison ?

Dans les heures à venir, Hosée Houngnibo, coordonnateur des réseaux de soutien d’Olivier Boko, sera probablement présenté au procureur spécial de la Cour de répression des infractions économiques et du terrorisme (CRIET). Si certains espèrent un jugement équitable, il est fort probable que cette présentation ne soit qu’une simple formalité avant son transfert en prison. Derrière cette action se dessine selon les acteurs politiques une stratégie de répression, visant à intimider les partisans d’Olivier Boko et à les réduire au silence.

Un climat de peur instauré par la CRIET

Depuis la création de la CRIET, de nombreux observateurs actuellement membres du parti Les Démocrates, ont dénoncé son rôle dans la répression politique au Bénin. Bien que la CRIET ait initialement été présentée comme un outil pour lutter contre la corruption et le terrorisme, elle a rapidement acquis une réputation de cour utilisée pour persécuter les opposants politiques. ”En effet, plusieurs personnalités, critiques du pouvoir en place, ont été arrêtées et jugées dans des conditions qui laissent à désirer sur le plan de l’équité judiciaire” confirme un député du parti Les Démocrates.

Dans le cas de Hosée Houngnibo, plusieurs membres des mouvements de soutien à Olivier Boko  ont affirmé ces derniers jours sur les réseaux sociaux, que la présentation devant le procureur est simplement une étape avant son incarcération imminente, dans le but de décourager les soutiens d’Olivier Boko.

En effet , Olivier  Boko et Oswald Homeky  sont accusés d’implication dans un coup d’État présumé. Les deux hommes sont détenus dans des conditions qui ont suscité une large indignation. Le dossier a pris une tournure particulièrement préoccupante avec les allégations de manipulation judiciaire et de répression politique visant à écarter des figures clés   avant l’élection présidentielle de 2026 au Bénin. Les partisans de Boko et Homeky, ainsi que de nombreux observateurs, dénoncent cette affaire comme étant une fabrication destinée à neutraliser toute concurrence au pouvoir en place.
