La bande de Gaza a été le théâtre de 100 jours de guerre, une période définie par deux termes poignants : la mort et le déplacement. Au cours de ces jours sombres, 85 % de la population de Gaza a été contrainte de quitter ses foyers, se retrouvant entassée dans des conditions de dénuement absolu. Les conséquences déchirantes de ce conflit se manifestent de manière criante, surtout dans des lieux tels que le camp de déplacement de Rafa, où le froid, la pluie et les privations rendent le quotidien encore plus éprouvant.

Le ministère de la Santé, sous le contrôle du Hamas, a rapporté aujourd’hui que 125 Palestiniens ont perdu la vie au cours des dernières 24 heures, portant le bilan côté palestinien à près de 24 000 morts et plus de 60 000 blessés. Ces chiffres révèlent l’ampleur tragique de la souffrance humaine dans la région. Le patron de l’UNRWA (Agence pour les réfugiés) revenant de Gaza a exprimé la réalité poignante de ces 100 jours, évoquant la mort, la destruction, le déplacement massif, la fin, la perte et le chagrin, qui entachent notre humanité commune.

Alors que la communauté internationale exprime des inquiétudes croissantes face à la crise humanitaire à Gaza, le gouvernement israélien, dirigé par Benjamin Netanyahou, a déclaré son intention de poursuivre l’opération militaire contre le Hamas. Les paroles fermes de Netanyahou, affirmant que personne ne les arrêtera, soulignent la complexité persistante du conflit israélo-palestinien.

Cette guerre de 100 jours laisse derrière elle un tableau déchirant de pertes humaines, de destruction et de déplacement massif. Alors que la quête de solutions pacifiques reste un défi, la communauté internationale est appelée à redoubler d’efforts pour atténuer la souffrance des populations touchées et œuvrer vers une résolution durable du conflit.
