Le forum de leadership féminin des Amazones de OB26, tenu à l’Hôtel KTA de Cotonou, a marqué une étape décisive dans l’histoire politique du Bénin. Animé par Eméraude Amoussou, cet événement a rassemblé des femmes influentes de tous les départements du Bénin pour discuter des voies d’amélioration de leur représentativité en politique et de soutien à Olivier Boko.
Ce forum intervient à un moment dans un contexte, marqué par une progression significative mais insuffisante des femmes dans le domaine politique béninois. Depuis l’adoption de la loi sur la parité en 2006, et sa version renforcée en 2019, le Bénin a vu une augmentation notable de la présence féminine en politique, culminant avec une femme vice-présidente en 2021. Cependant, des défis majeurs subsistent, tels que la violence politique, le manque de financement et une discrimination persistante basée sur le genre.

Des ateliers et des discussions ont mis en exergue les stéréotypes de genre et les préjugés culturels, tout en proposant des solutions concrètes.
Les Amazones d’OB26 ont présenté un programme ambitieux pour renforcer le leadership féminin. Ce programme comprend la création d’un mentorat pour de nouvelles candidates politiques, des ateliers de formation en compétences politiques et en gestion de campagnes, ainsi qu’une plateforme de dialogue pour échanger sur des politiques et stratégies efficaces. L’initiative comprend également un fonds de soutien pour les campagnes de sensibilisation, pour déconstruire les stéréotypes de genre, et l’adoption de réformes internes, y compris des quotas pour garantir une représentation équitable des femmes dans tous les organes décisionnels d’OB26.
Ce forum marque non seulement un pas en avant pour les femmes dans la politique béninoise, mais aussi un modèle pour d’autres mouvements et partis politiques. L’engagement des femmes d’OB26 à soutenir la candidature d’Olivier Boko en 2026, avec leur perspective unique, est un signe prometteur pour l’avenir politique du pays.
L’objectif est clair : transformer les ambitions en réalités tangibles, permettant ainsi aux femmes de jouer des rôles de premier plan dans la gouvernance et de contribuer pleinement au développement d’un Bénin prospère et égalitaire.
