🌀 Cyclone Béal : La Réunion sous Menace Historique et Confinée

La Réunion fait face à une menace historique avec l’approche du cyclone Béal, qui s’annonce comme l’un des plus dévastateurs de son histoire. Les premiers effets se font déjà sentir sur le front de mer, avec des vents violents, des pluies torrentielles et des vagues menaçantes atteignant jusqu’à 8 mètres. Alors que l’œil du cyclone pourrait passer directement sur l’île demain, les autorités ont élevé le niveau d’alerte à rouge, ordonnant aux habitants de se confiner chez eux en urgence.

Les résidents se préparent au pire, barricadant leurs maisons et ramassant tout ce qui pourrait devenir dangereux sous l’impact du cyclone. Les marchés ont connu une dernière ruée pour les provisions, tandis que les habitants se préparent à rester confinés au moins jusqu’à mardi. Les préparatifs sont intenses, car le cyclone Béal, formé il y a quatre jours entre Madagascar et La Réunion, pourrait atteindre la catégorie 2, voire catégorie 3, avec des rafales de vent pouvant atteindre près de 200 km/h.

Les autorités locales sont mobilisées pour accueillir en urgence les résidents dans des endroits sûrs tels que les gymnases, équipés du nécessaire en cas de submersion ou de dégâts majeurs. Le niveau de risque est exceptionnel, surtout pour une région peu habituée aux aléas cycloniques. Les météorologues comparent cette menace à des cyclones dévastateurs de l’histoire réunionnaise, comme ceux de 1989 ou de 1962.

Outre les vents dévastateurs, des crues importantes sont à craindre en raison des pluies exceptionnelles attendues sur la région. La population est appelée à rester vigilante et à suivre les consignes de sécurité émises par les autorités. Ce confinement d’urgence vise à assurer la protection des résidents face à un événement climatique d’une ampleur rare, soulignant l’importance de la préparation et de la gestion des risques dans ces situations de crise climatique.
