Coup d’État ou simple fiction ? Refus de signer des aveux sous pression, les doutes grandissent autour du autour du supposé complot

La supposée affaire  de Coup d’Etat, qui implique Olivier Boko et l’ancien ministre des Sports Oswald Homéky, revient sur le devant de la scène avec une nouvelle audition ce mercredi 23 octobre 2024 devant la Cour de Répression des Infractions Économiques et du Terrorisme (CRIET). Les deux hommes, interpellés le 24 septembre 2024, sont poursuivis pour complot contre la sûreté de l’État, corruption et blanchiment de capitaux.  Mais depuis le début de l’instruction de cette affaire de  multiples zones d’ombre persistent.

Une audition sous tension

D’après des sources proches du dossier, les précédentes auditions d’Olivier Boko se seraient déroulées dans une ambiance tendue. Olivier Boko chercherait toujours à comprendre les raisons exactes de son maintien en détention. Selon des informations recueillies, une proposition lui aurait été faite : signer des aveux en échange d’un éventuel pardon du chef de l’État, Patrice Talon. Boko aurait rejeté catégoriquement cette option, affirmant que le président lui-même devait venir lui faire la proposition s’il en était l’auteur.

Un doute persistant dans l’opinion publique

Dans l’opinion publique, les accusations de coup d’État soulèvent de nombreuses questions. Les citoyens expriment un certain scepticisme face à cette affaire, d’autant plus que plusieurs voix influentes se sont élevées pour émettre des réserves. Parmi elles, l’ancien président de la Cour suprême, Ousmane Batoko, a affirmé que cette tentative de renversement du pouvoir semblait improbable. Selon lui, Olivier Boko et Oswald Homéky, tous deux proches du président Talon, ne peuvent avoir agi seuls dans une telle entreprise. De plus depuis le début de l’affaire les preuves avancées par le procureur Spécial de la CRIET ont été démenties par la NSIA Banque Cote d’Ivoire, sans aucune réaction des autorités béninoises.

Un contexte politique fragile

Cette affaire intervient dans un climat politique déjà tendu au Bénin. Plusieurs figures politiques et des observateurs continuent de s’interroger sur les véritables motivations derrière ces arrestations, et sur la nature des preuves présentées. En attendant que la lumière soit faite, l’audition de ce mercredi pourrait révéler de nouveaux éléments déterminants dans cette affaire qui continue de diviser l’opinion publique.
