À deux jours de l’élection présidentielle, Kamala Harris, candidate démocrate à la vice-présidence, intensifie ses efforts pour mobiliser deux électorats clés : les jeunes et les minorités. En déplacement dans les États décisifs, elle a tenu un discours vibrant dans le Michigan et à Atlanta, en Géorgie, où elle a clairement ciblé ces groupes, espérant les voir jouer un rôle crucial dans l’issue du scrutin.

La Génération Z et la mobilisation pour le changement

Lors de son intervention à Atlanta, Kamala Harris a mis l’accent sur l’importance du vote des jeunes, en particulier la Génération Z. « Vous êtes déterminés à vivre dans un monde sans violence armée, à combattre la crise climatique et à façonner un avenir meilleur », a-t-elle déclaré devant une foule enthousiaste. L’un des moments forts de son discours a été l’introduction par un jeune primo-votant de 18 ans d’origine hispanique, un geste symbolique de son engagement envers la jeunesse.

Le soutien des minorités afro-américaines

La communauté afro-américaine, qui représente environ 14 % des électeurs en Géorgie, a également été au centre de ses propos. Kamala Harris a évoqué les droits civiques, les libertés, et les droits reproductifs, des thèmes résonnant particulièrement dans cet État, patrie de Martin Luther King. De nombreuses femmes afro-américaines présentes dans le public ont exprimé leur admiration pour Harris, la voyant comme un modèle et espérant vivre un jour historique si elle devenait la première femme présidente des États-Unis d’origine afro-américaine.

Trump et Harris : bataille pour la Géorgie

La Géorgie est un État stratégique, où l’élection de 2020 s’était jouée de justesse. Donald Trump, également en campagne dans cet État, se concentre sur des thèmes comme l’inflation et l’économie, des sujets cruciaux pour les électeurs, ainsi que sur des questions plus conservatrices comme l’immigration et les droits des transgenres, qui trouvent un écho particulier dans les zones rurales et conservatrices.
