Armorion Smith : Étudiant, athlète et tuteur légal de ses frères et sœurs

Armorion Smith, joueur défensif de l’équipe de football de Michigan State, n’est pas seulement un étudiant et un athlète. Depuis le décès de sa mère en août, à l’âge de 21 ans, il est devenu le tuteur légal de quatre de ses six frères et sœurs. Chaque jour, il jongle entre ses études, ses entraînements sportifs et ses responsabilités familiales. Malgré ces défis, Smith trouve du réconfort et de la joie en voyant ses frères et sœurs heureux.

Après que sa mère a été diagnostiquée d’un cancer du sein en 2022, Smith a quitté son équipe précédente, les Bearcats de Cincinnati, pour se rapprocher de sa famille. Avec l’aide de sa sœur, ils ont maintenu la famille à flot tout en poursuivant ses études et ses ambitions sportives. Ses coéquipiers admirent sa force et son dévouement face à cette situation difficile.

Smith peut subvenir aux besoins de sa famille grâce au soutien financier de diverses sources, y compris une campagne GoFundMe, un fonds fédéral d’aide aux étudiants et des collectes de fonds. Il reste déterminé à tenir la promesse faite à sa mère de s’occuper de ses frères et sœurs, tout en bénéficiant de l’appui de sa communauté.
