🇭🇹🔍 Haïti instaure un Conseil de Transition pour combattre la violence des gangs
En Haïti, un Conseil présidentiel de transition vient d’être établi dans l’espoir de restaurer l’ordre et de préparer le terrain pour des élections futures. Cette mesure fait suite à des mois de chaos exacerbé par la violence des gangs et une instabilité politique croissante.
Formation du Conseil
Après un mois de négociations, les politiciens haïtiens ont enfin publié le décret officialisant la création du Conseil de neuf membres. Ce conseil est décrit comme largement représentatif et politiquement inclusif, offrant ainsi une possibilité de renouveau pour le pays. Sa première tâche consistera à nommer un successeur au Premier ministre Ariel Henri, contraint à la démission en mars dernier.
Défis Imposants
Le travail devant le Conseil est colossal. Les gangs contrôlent environ 80 % de la capitale et les principaux axes routiers, plongeant la population dans une grave crise alimentaire et sanitaire. Sans chef d’État depuis l’assassinat de Jovenel Moïse en 2021, Haïti fait face à une période critique.
Impact Social et Émigration
La violence endémique a contraint près de 100,000 personnes à fuir Port-au-Prince le mois dernier pour échapper aux attaques de gangs. Les habitants, autrefois réticents à quitter leur pays, conseillent désormais aux jeunes de partir, signe du désespoir croissant face à l’insécurité qui prévaut.
Le Conseil présidentiel de transition représente une étape cruciale dans les efforts de Haïti pour retrouver une stabilité politique et sociale. Toutefois, la tâche s’avère difficile dans un contexte où la violence gangrène la société. Les yeux du monde restent tournés vers ce pays, attendant de voir si ce nouveau conseil pourra effectivement inverser la spirale de violence et mener à des élections libres et équitables.
