🎰 Exploitation Illégale de Machines à Sous: Mineur Chinois au Centre d’une Affaire Judiciaire au Bénin ⚖️🇨🇳
Un mineur chinois de 17 ans se retrouve au cœur d’une affaire d’exploitation illégale de machines à sous. Malgré les accusations portées contre lui, le jeune défendant a maintenu son innocence lors de son interrogatoire, niant toute implication dans les faits qui lui sont reprochés.
L’affaire a pris une tournure inattendue lorsque le ministère public a sollicité la Cour de Répression des Infractions Économiques et du Terrorisme (CRIET) pour se déclarer incompétente. Cette demande fait suite à des débats sur la juridiction appropriée pour juger une affaire impliquant un mineur dans des activités présumées illégales de jeux d’argent.
La situation juridique complexe est d’autant plus sensible que l’accusé est mineur, ce qui soulève des questions sur la protection des jeunes dans le cadre des lois internationales et des conventions sur les droits de l’enfant. De plus, la nature internationale du cas, impliquant un ressortissant étranger, ajoute une couche supplémentaire de complexité diplomatique et juridique.
Le président de la CRIET est donc face à une décision délicate, celle de déterminer si la cour est compétente pour juger cette affaire ou si elle doit être redirigée vers une autre instance judiciaire qui traiterait les cas impliquant des mineurs ou des délits de moindre envergure.
