Urgent : Décès de la pionnière de la lutte contre la corruption au Bénin

Anne Adjai Cica, une figure connue au Bénin pour sa lutte contre la corruption, est décédée récemment. Elle avait été nommée conseillère technique du président de la République en 1996 et avait pris la tête de la cellule de moralisation de la vie publique pendant dix ans. Son rôle consistait à lutter contre la corruption et à dénoncer tous les actes de corruption constatés par son équipe et elle. Cette position l’a rendue impopulaire auprès des personnalités politiques du pays, mais elle a conservé la confiance du chef de l’État.

Anne Adjai Cica a également été impliquée dans la création de l’Association des Femmes pour le Développement de la Commune de Ouidah (Afdo-Vignilé), qui a pour but de favoriser une meilleure implication des femmes dans le processus de développement de la ville de Ouidah. Elle a été élue présidente du bureau exécutif de l’association à l’issue de sa création lors d’une assemblée générale constitutive.

Le décès d’Anne Adjai Cica a été largement regretté par les citoyens béninois, qui se souviennent d’elle comme une personne courageuse et déterminée qui a consacré sa vie à la lutte contre la corruption et pour le développement de son pays. Sa contribution à la vie publique du Bénin ne sera pas oubliée, et son exemple continuera d’inspirer les générations futures.
