🏛️ Examen de la relecture du code Électoral et d’autres recours à venir
La Cour constitutionnelle du Bénin tiendra une audience de vacation pour examiner neuf dossiers de recours, dont un portant sur la relecture du Code électoral, une question cruciale dans le contexte politique actuel.
Parmi les affaires inscrites à l’ordre du jour figure la pétition déposée par Philippe Goukpanian, demandant une révision du Code électoral. Cette initiative intervient alors que plusieurs acteurs politiques et civils appellent à des changements pour garantir une meilleure transparence et équité dans le processus électoral. Pour l’examen de ce dossier, la Cour a requis la présence de représentants du Gouvernement, de l’Assemblée nationale, et de la Commission Électorale Nationale Autonome (CENA), soulignant l’importance de ce recours pour le cadre institutionnel du Bénin.
Outre la relecture du Code électoral, d’autres recours seront également étudiés lors de cette audience. Il s’agit notamment de plaintes déposées contre des juges d’instruction des Tribunaux de première instance de Cotonou et d’Ouidah, ainsi que contre le Procureur de la République près le Tribunal de Ouidah. Le Président de la Commission de l’instruction de la Cour de Répression des Infractions Économiques et du Terrorisme (CRIET) est également cité dans les recours.
L’audience débutera à 10 heures et s’annonce d’ores et déjà déterminante pour clarifier plusieurs points de droit et potentiellement réformer certaines pratiques institutionnelles. Elle est très attendue par les observateurs de la scène politique béninoise, qui voient dans ces recours l’opportunité de renforcer l’état de droit et la transparence dans le pays.
