⚠️📰 La HAAC condamne l’apologie des coups d’État dans les médias au Bénin: un appel à plus de professionnalisme 💼🎙️

Dans un communiqué récent, la Haute autorité de l’audiovisuel et de la communication (HAAC) du Bénin a condamné fermement l’apologie des coups d’État en Afrique et dans la sous-région, particulièrement notée sur les réseaux sociaux et dans divers organes de presse.

La HAAC appelle instamment les acteurs des médias à faire preuve de professionnalisme et à respecter les textes de la République, conformément à leur cahier des charges. La responsabilité sociale de ces acteurs impose une grande rigueur dans le traitement des informations susceptibles de mettre en péril la société.

Rappelant l’attachement du Bénin aux principes de la démocratie et des droits de l’homme, inscrit dans le préambule de la Constitution, la HAAC met en garde contre toute tentative de renversement du régime constitutionnel. Selon l’article 65 de la Constitution, toute telle tentative serait considérée comme une forfaiture et un crime contre la Nation et l’État. En outre, le coup d’État est qualifié de crime selon notre loi fondamentale, et son apologie, un délit. La HAAC, en tant que garante de la liberté et de la protection de la presse, invite donc les acteurs des médias à respecter scrupuleusement les dispositions constitutionnelles et légales en vigueur dans notre pays sous peine de s’exposer aux rigueurs de la loi.
