🚨 Attaque mortelle à Karimama : Deux policiers béninois tombés dans une Embuscade 🇧🇯
Dimanche 15 septembre 2024, deux policiers béninois ont tragiquement perdu la vie dans une embuscade sur le tronçon reliant Kompa au village de Kompati, dans la commune de Karimama. Cet incident dramatique, survenu en pleine journée, met en lumière les défis sécuritaires persistants auxquels le nord du Bénin continue de faire face.
Une Patrouille de Routine qui Tourne au Drame
Les policiers en mission de patrouille dans le secteur de Kompa se dirigeaient vers un marché local situé à Kompati aux alentours de 15 heures. C’est sur cette route, bordée de grands arbres aux feuilles touffues, qu’ils ont été pris pour cible par des individus armés non identifiés. L’embuscade, orchestrée avec précision, n’a laissé que peu de chances aux agents de sécurité, entraînant la mort de deux d’entre eux sur le coup.
Une Zone à Haut Risque de Plus en Plus Exposée
La zone de Karimama, située dans le nord du Bénin, a été récemment marquée par une recrudescence d’incidents violents et d’attaques de groupes armés non identifiés. Cette région frontalière est connue pour ses défis sécuritaires, exacerbés par la proximité avec des zones instables des pays voisins. L’incident de dimanche s’inscrit dans une série de violences qui ont régulièrement frappé les forces de sécurité béninoises, révélant la fragilité de cette zone en matière de sécurité.

Face à cette nouvelle attaque, les autorités béninoises sont sous pression pour renforcer les dispositifs sécuritaires dans cette région stratégique.
