🔴 Attaque meurtrière au parc W : Un groupe terroriste revendique l’attaque qui a coûté la vie à 30 soldats béninois
Une attaque sanglante a frappé le Bénin mercredi 8 janvier 2025. Vers 16 heures, dans le parc national du W, situé à la frontière avec le Burkina Faso, une position des Forces Armées Béninoises (FAB) a été prise pour cible par des membres du Groupe de Soutien à l’Islam et aux Musulmans (GSIM). Ce groupe djihadiste, affilié à Al-Qaïda, a revendiqué l’assaut qui a laissé un lourd bilan : 28 soldats béninois ont perdu la vie.
Une attaque bien coordonnée
Selon les premières informations, l’attaque s’est déroulée avec une précision inquiétante. Les assaillants, lourdement armés, ont surpris les FAB, profitant de la proximité de la zone frontalière avec le Burkina Faso, une région déjà marquée par une insécurité chronique. Cette attaque s’inscrit dans une série d’actes de violence perpétrés par le GSIM dans la région des trois frontières, où le Bénin, le Burkina Faso et le Niger se rencontrent. Elle illustre une escalade inquiétante des menaces sécuritaires, amplifiées par l’instabilité au Burkina Faso voisin.
